I have been asked by quite a few customers lately what others in the restaurant industry are doing about tip presentation. As a small business owner, you face a dilemma: You want employees to earn more by taking advantage of digital tipping options, but you don’t want to burn customers out. So, how do you strike the right balance?
One of our vendors, Heartland, published a very in depth blog article on the new challenges of tipping when presenting your customers with digital tip options. One of the points presented in the article I thought was beneficial was simply to communicate who will be receiving the tips.
